We are joined by Abi Unwin (Abigail Jane Coaching) who will shared her journey into SEO. Earlier this year she attended one of Ben’s introductory SEO workshop and managed to boost her website Google Ranking ‘from page 15 to page 1 in under a month!’ and gained more sales.


Abi’s SEO Process

  • Focused on a keyword
  • Inserted location keywords into body text to help drive more leads
  • Increased wordcount as it was previously quite thin
  • Looked at her competitors in Bristol/London and noted how many times they used their keywords and CTA’s
  • Rewrote her website text to accomodate the changes
  • Created more internal and external links to her website

Areas to work on

  • Replicating the ideas for different locations on a different page. Dedicate a page per region you want to cover
  • Link blogs back to the homepage
  • Vary the text link so you don’t just use your direct keywords
  • Turn your blogs into videos and link them to youtube.
  • Film in 4:3 or 16:9 horzitonal orientation for website
  • Put a video on your homepage
  • Link instagram to your website
  • Continue generating blog content
  • Make SEO part of your weekly marketing routine

Abi’s SEO Advice

  • Recommend doing a workshop or reach out to an expert to start with
  • SEO isn’t as hard and scary as you might think, don’t be afraid to try learning it
  • You don’t have to do it all at once
  • Make SEO part of your weekly marketing efforts, a weekly task like any other part of your business
  • Look at what your competitors are doing and compare
